Man, woman murdered for ‘honour’ in Swat
A young man and woman were gunned down for ‘honour’ by the latter’s brothers in Swat’s Matta tehsil on Friday, October 1. Police registered a case under the provision of murder and arrested two of the late girl’s brothers. According to the accused, they had seen the two victims walking together which angered them, and then opened fire.
Man rapes, throws acid on ex-wife in Burewala
One Mumtaz, 40, reportedly burned his ex-wife’s face with acid after raping her in Mujahid Colony within the jurisdiction of Burewala City Police on Sunday, October 3.
The accused had married the woman two years ago. According to Mumtaz, he was still married to his victim, however the woman claimed they had separated. Mumtaz had suspected his wife of having an affair – following an argument on Sunday, he allegedly overpowered the woman, raped her and then threw acid on her before fleeing.
Police have arrested the accused.
Man rapes 17-year-old girl in Darra Adam Khel
Police arrested one Shoaib for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl while she was out collecting firewood in a forest in Jawaki, Darra Adam Khel. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 2. A medical examination of the rape survivor confirmed rape. Police arrested the accused after registering a case, who confessed to the crime.
