Minor Boy selling toys shot dead by security guard in Karachi’s Clifton area
An 8-year-old boy selling toys in Karachi’s clifton area was shot dead by a private security guard on Sunday.
Naseer Tanoli, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Boat Basin Police reported that Mohammad Umer was allegedly killed by “accidental gunfire” by security guard Jan Mohammed at the Bilawal House roundabout.
Immediately after the shooting, the guard took the injured boy to Dr. Ziaudding Hospital on a motorcycle but the 8-year-old succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
The guard subsequently abandoned the body near the railway track in the area and fled the scene.
The police have registered a murder case against Mohammad Jan.
The victim’s father, Khadim Hussain, a rickshaw driver from Rohri, Sukkar filed the complaint. He was in Defence when his elder son informed him that M.Umer had been shot by the guard of a restaurant. He rushed to the spot but his son’s whereabouts were not known.
Two people sitting in the restaurant took the family to the police station where the body was laying in an ambulance.
Karachi Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab took notice of the murder and directed police to immediately arrest the suspect and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
Man shoots relative for marrying his mother
A young man shot dead his uncle for marrying his mother during a Jirga in the Korangi area in Karachi on Sunday.
The Jirga has been called to resolve the marriage dispute and took place at a house in Gulzar Colony within the Korangi Industrial Area. The suspect, identified as Ali, killed his uncle 40-year-old Sajjadur Rehman during a quarrel and fled the scene.
Police noted that the deceased person was an uncle of the suspect who had married his mother due to which he was upset. A case has been registered and investigations are underway
