Issue of missing persons remains priority; Justice Azam Nazeer
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar reiterated on Wednesday that resolving the issue of missing person is a priority of the coalition government.
Speaking to Zoe Ware, Political Counselor for the British High Commission he noted that furthering the promotion of law and order was on the state agenda. The two also discussed cooperation agreements in the education and development sector.
Challans for minimum wage violations
HARIPUR: Labour Department filled challans against 50 industrial and commercial entities for violating the Minimum Wage Act 2013.
Deputy Director Labour Hazara Division, Faizullah Khan, inspected the records of 40 industrial units and 15 CNG stations. Upon discovering that workers were being paid less than the minimum wage set by the KPK government, the official issued challans of Rs.50,000 to each offending unit.
Many of the workers only received between Rs.15,000 to Rs.18,000. The officials noted that it was the commercial sector’s responsibility to ensure the workers are paid fairly and according to the wage set by government.
