Pakistani man charged in UK with murder

Zafar Iqbal, a Pakistani man extradited to Britain, has been charged with involvement in his wife’s murder. Zafar is accused of killing his wife Nazit Khan in August 2001 and then fleeing to Pakistan. The British High Commissioner to Pakistan thanked the accused for his extradition to the UK and assured justice to Nazit’s family.

Order to provide facilities to children with disabilities

The Sindh High Court has expressed serious concerns over the registration of only 3,500 special children out of 300,000 across the province and directed the provincial authorities to provide facilities to all physically challenged children.

Database of accused against women and children

IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that a database of habitual sexual criminals is being prepared to keep an eye on those involved in crimes against women and children. The IG Punjab further said that anti-harassment and violence cells would be set up in all the districts of the province and the capacity of women investigative officers would also be enhanced.
