Punjab prepares to reopen

Punjab reopens today under SOPs issued by the National Coordination Committee on August 7.

Tourism-related industries to be reinstated this Friday under protocols designed by Healthcare Department.

75% COVID-19 patients under 50

As per official COVID-19 data, over 75% of Pakistanis infected with the virus are below the age of 50.

Among women, the most frequently infected were those aged between 21 & 30.

Muharram SOPs announced

Interior ministry issues SOPs after discussions with religious scholars & health experts.

The protocols will be relevant to conducting majalis and other Muharram processions.

29 new cases in twin cities

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) & Rawalpindi report 29 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.

The total number of infections in the twin cities now stands at 21,167.

Masks compulsory in KP schools

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government makes masks a requirement for all school students and employees.

This comes as the province prepares to reopen its educational institutes around mid-September.

Reopening Sindh depends on pandemic

Sindh’s coronavirus task force will permit businesses & schools to reopen should the pandemic get better.

The possible reopening will come on September 15, as will the recommencing of social activities.
