Voicepk 2025 | Stories That Mattered

As we step into a new year, we carry forward the stories that mattered — and the attention they demand. Thank you for reading, sharing, and standing with Voicepk as we continue to listen closely, report carefully and ethically, and speak where silence is expected. Here’s to another year of honest journalism and voices that deserve to be heard.

By Xari Jalil & Ali Baig

For Voicepk, like any other year, 2025 too served as a year with its own challenges. Reporting in the face of adversity has its own difficulties and so this too has no been just another year for us.

Pakistan has gone through several times of crises, and therefore so has Voicepk. But nothing has stopped our network of correspondents spread across Pakistan from covering these issues and reporting from the ground. Rooted in human rights, social justice, and people’s lived realities, our work has spanned long-form investigations, ground reports, podcasts, web shows and explainers — amplifying those voices that are often erased.

This review brings together the stories that shaped 2025. Not only measured in online audience engagement, but also in impact — stories that documented suffering, questioned power, and insisted on accountability.

Impact cannot always be measured in numbers. Some stories are meant to reach millions — others are meant to reach the public conscience.
