Girl Raped by Armed Men at Gunpoint in Islamabad’s F-9 Park

Two armed men raped a woman at gunpoint in F-9 park in Islamabad on February 2, according to an FIR. The victim and her colleague were approached by the attackers and taken to a nearby thicket, where the woman was beaten and threatened when she tried to resist. She was also offered money to keep quiet.

The suspects are being traced through CCTV and Safe City cameras, and the victim underwent a medical exam, with marks of torture and rape found on her body. Samples have been sent for DNA tests.

The attack has sparked outrage on social media, with calls for the culprits to be arrested and justice served. Some have expressed concern over the ability of the police department to investigate the case effectively.

 

Girl gang-raped in front of her mother in Bahawalpur

Two men gang-raped a 15-year-old girl in front of her mother in Khanqah Sharif, Bahawalpur.

The rape case was registered against a nominated suspect and his accomplice based on the girl’s mother’s complaint.

The suspects fled before locals arrived after hearing the mother and daughter’s cries. Police registered the case under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code, but no arrests have been made.

 

Bus Hostess Raped by Guard, Outrage Erupts in Vehari

A guard of a private bus traveling from Karachi to Lahore allegedly raped a bus hostess at gunpoint. The bus driver was reportedly involved in the incident.

The victim was in critical condition and was shifted to a hospital in Vehari. Police arrested the accused and registered a case.

Social organizations and women staged a protest in response to the incident. This is not the first case of sexual assault on inter-city transport, as another high-profile case occurred on the Bahauddin-Zakariya Express in May 2022.

 

Teenage Girl Gang-in Karachi’s Baldia Town, Case Filed Against Four Suspects

A 15-year-old girl was reportedly gang-raped in Baldia Town, Karachi, according to police and hospital officials.

The victim was taken to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, where a police surgeon confirmed that her physical examination was consistent with sexual assault. A case has been filed against four individuals, and the police are investigating.

The victim reported that she was abducted, given a sedative, and taken to an abandoned house where she was subjected to the attack. She was found in the house the next morning and taken home, where her condition was reported to be poor.

The incident has been registered under sections 376 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
