Two suspects held for minor’s rape and murder in Khairpur

Police on Monday, January 11, arrested two suspects in connection with the rape and murder of seven-year-old Momina Larik, whose body was discovered abandoned in field in Pir Jo Goth city of Kingri taluka, Khairpur district in Sindh. The suspects’ DNA samples have been collected and sent to a forensic laboratory.

Momina was reported missing two days ago. An autopsy confirmed that the girl was sexually assaulted before being murdered. The parents of the deceased child have appealed for justice through the media.

In-laws allegedly murder pregnant woman in Karachi

One Kulsoom (22), wife of Saleem, a rickshaw driver, and a resident of Ali Muhammad Brohi Goth in Ibrahim Hyderi of Korangi district, Karachi, was discovered dead in her marital home on Monday. Ibrahim Hyderi police shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy, where it was revealed that the mother to an 18-month-old daughter was pregnant and was killed via strangulation. The deceased’s parents claim the her in-laws had tortured and killed her.

Seven arrested for gang-raping minor boy in Kohat

Kohat police rescued a 13-year-old boy from the captivity of seven men from the cantonment area on Monday. All seven suspects have been arrested, while a medical examination of the minor confirmed sexual assault.

The rape survivor was reported missing on January 6. Accused Adnan, Ayaz Ali, Khan Bahadur, Mohammad Ziaul Haq, Musawar Jamal, Rashid Khan and Zafarullah confessed to their crime.
