Minor Boys ‘Kill’ Friend

Two boys aged 8 & 5 ‘killed’ their 6 year old friend after a fight had broken out amongst them while playing. The two accused restrained and then poured sand into their friend’s nose and mouth, which caused him to suffocate to death. The incident took place near Raiwind in Lahore – the deceased’s body has been handed over to the parents after a medico-legal examination was conducted.

44,000 Cases Pending In SC

Around 44,000 cases are currently pending in the Supreme Court. In the month of April, 491 cases were decided in the apex court while 685 cases were received. Among the 685 new cases, 36 were brought before the Peshawar registry and 6 before the Quetta registry, however, no cases pending in the Peshawar and Quetta registry were decided upon in April.

Judicial activity is expected to slow down due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

5 Year Old Kidnapped

Police arrest one of four suspects for their alleged involvement in the abduction of a 5 year old girl from Korangi, Karachi. The girl had kidnapped on Sunday, April 3, by an individual later identified through CCTV footage while she was outside playing. Police managed to trace and arrest 3 for abducting the girl 12 hours after the incident transpired, as well as one other out of four suspects nominated by the victim’s father for their alleged involvement.
