43 on ventilators in Islamabad

The occupancy ratio of ventilators for COVID patients in Islamabad has reached 61 percent, the second-highest occupancy ratio in the country. Out of the 70 ventilators for COVID patients, 43 are occupied currently in the federal capital. The highest occupancy rate 74 percent is in Multan followed by 19pc in Lahore, 17pc in Faisalabad, 14pc in Rawalpindi, 10pc in Karachi, and 3 percent in Muzaffarabad.

SHC judge tests positive

A judge of the Sindh High Court at Hyderabad registry has tested positive for COVID. An additional district judge and a female civil judge in the city had also been infected by the virus.

Cases surge over 2,700

New cases of COVID has surged to 2,738 cases with 36 more deaths during the past 24 hours in the country. Active cases have increased to 33,562 while 868 people have recovered from the viral infection in the last 24 hours.

Sindh nears 1200 daily cases

Sindh has reported 1,193 new cases which are the highest since July 12, along with the deaths of 16 people from COVID in the past 24 hours. The death toll has reached 2,780 while 260 more patients recovered from the virus in the province.
