Three deaths from COVID
The pandemic claimed three more lives in the last 24 hours as Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir collectively reported 87 new cases. 30 cases were reported from Islamabad, 33 cases, and one death from Gilgit Baltistan, and 16 cases and two deaths were confirmed in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
100 new cases in Punjab, KP
Punjab and KP collectively reported 100 new cases of COVID as the total number of patients reached 306,304 in the country. Punjab has confirmed 60 new cases while 40 more were infected with the virus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Second wave risk is ‘low’, claims study
A study has suggested there is a low chance of a second wave of COVID pandemic due to a gradual drop in cases and other relevant factors. National Institute of Blood Diseases report claims the country has almost attained herd immunity as 60pc of seroprevalence will be reached in the next couple of months
