Afghan man arrested for killing wife and infant daughter
A 40-year-old Afghan man has been arrested by city police for the murder of his wife and infant daughter in Peshawar.
The man, identified as Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, was living near the Gull Abad police post in Shaitan Chowk and is believed to have had psychological problems. The police have not determined the motive for the brutal killings and the case is currently under investigation.
Head of Hindu community, son, and driver abducted
The head of a Hindu community, along with his 10-year-old son and car driver, was kidnapped by armed dacoits while traveling from Kashmore to Badani.
The news of their abduction quickly spread in Kashmore, leading to a protest by a large number of Hindu community members on a section of the Guddu link road.
Police have cordoned off the suspected area in Kashmore and are actively pursuing the kidnappers. Efforts are underway to secure the release of the victims.
