96% COVID recovery rate

In 200 days of the COVID pandemic, 289,460, patients have recovered out of a total of 301,685 people infected in the country, showing a 96 percent recovery rate in the country. According to NCOC statistics, in the first 100 days of the pandemic 90,616 patients were confirmed. In the next 100 days, there were 211,069 positive cases. The virus affected one percent of the population.

No COVID tests needed for students, teachers

Punjab Healthcare Department has clarified that there is no requirement for students or teachers to bring reports of their COVID tests ahead of the reopening of educational institutes on September 15. The Health Department said no educational institute had the authority to request coronavirus test reports from teachers or students.

Saudi Arabia to allow international flights from Sept 15

Saudi Arabia will partially lift the suspension of international flights from September 15 while all restrictions on air, land, and sea transport will end after January 1 next year, the Interior Ministry has said. Gulf state citizens and non-Saudis with residency permits or visit visas can enter the Kingdom from Sept. 15 provided they have tested negative for COVID in the previous 48 hours.
