SHO suspended over women’s hostel raid

The Faisalabad CPO, Usman Akram Gondal, took serious notice of a police raid on a private women’s hostel in Jinnah Colony, Gulberg police area, at 3 am on Tuesday.

The hostel’s owner, a widow, filed a complaint stating that SHO Raja Ihsan, along with another police official and six policemen, forcefully entered the hostel, arrested five sleeping girls, and later subjected them to inappropriate behavior at the police station.

The CPO suspended SHO Raja Ihsan and ordered an investigation by SSP Dr. Rizwan Ahmad Khan, with a report due within a day. Further action will be taken based on the inquiry report.

 

Doctor arrested for sharing explicit content of former wife in Kot Addu

A doctor, Dr. Malik Naeem Asif Dogar, was arrested for allegedly sharing explicit videos and images of his ex-wife, Shafaq Jaffar, to blackmail her. After their divorce five years ago, Shafaq moved to Kot Addu from Sultan city.

She reported that Dr. Dogar threatened her with harm if she refused to meet him and sent explicit content to her relatives. Shafaq and her advocate accused Dr. Dogar of a pattern of blackmailing and sexually abusing women, stealing money from them through coercion.

They also implicated his brother, Sardar Malik Saleem Dogar, a judicial employee, in harassment. Efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.

 

Nadra Staffer Allegedly Rapes Girl Seeking National Identity Card in Narowal

A girl was allegedly raped by a Nadra employee while she was at the Narowal Nadra office to apply for a computerised national identity card. The incident occurred on Wednesday. The complainant, a resident of Kotli Plot, stated that two Nadra employees named ‘A’ and ‘S’ asked her daughter to sit with them and then sent her home to collect some documents.

They lured the girl and took her to a nearby house, where ‘A’ allegedly raped her. The DPO Rana Tahir Rehman Khan ordered the Narowal City police to register a case against the suspects. The police are currently conducting raids to arrest them. The initial medical report confirms sexual abuse, and samples have been sent for further medical and DNA tests. The suspects have obtained protective bail until next Monday from a local court.
