Man Kills Rape Suspect in Custody at SZMCH in Honor-Related Incident
A man took the life of a rape suspect held by the police at SZMCH, Rahim Yar Khan. The incident occurred outside the emergency entrance of Shaikh Zayed Medical College Hospital on Monday. The man claimed he acted in the name of honor.
According to the initial police report filed on July 7, 2023, by Lateefa Bibi from Chak 83-P, she alleged that her son-in-law Muhammad Rafiq attempted to rape her granddaughter while she was asleep at home. Upon hearing her cries for help, her neighbors Shahid Nadeem and Muhammad Sajid arrived, causing Rafiq to flee. Subsequently, the police apprehended Rafiq and brought him to SZMCH for a medical examination.
As the police entered the hospital’s emergency gate, Sajid opened fire, resulting in Rafiq’s immediate death. Sajid has been arrested by the police. Visitors to the hospital have expressed concerns about the lack of security.
Man guns down wife over domestic dispute
On Sunday, a man allegedly committed murder by shooting his wife during a domestic dispute in Tahirpura, Dijikot. According to the police, Shaukat Ali critically injured his 29-year-old wife, Sajida Parveen, with a gunshot. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the couple had been experiencing ongoing conflicts in their relationship. Recently, they had a quarrel that ultimately led Shaukat to take his wife’s life. Law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and have filed a case against the suspect.
Husband kills wife in Hasanabdal
A 35-year-old woman was shot dead by her husband in Sakhi Nagar Hasanabdal. Rescue 1122 personnel, in the presence of police, shifted the dead body to THQ Hospital Hasanabdal .
