Deaf-Mute Maid Raped in Gujrat

An 18-year-old deaf-mute maid was raped after being taken to a different location from the house where she worked in Chohdowal village, Gujrat. The police have arrested the suspect involved in the assault.

The victim’s mother, who also worked as a maid, reported that her daughter did not return home on July 10. During her search, she saw her daughter with a man, but two suspects threw her off a motorbike. A case has been registered against both suspects under section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

 

Labourer arrested for alleged rape of 7th-grade student

A man was arrested by the police on Wednesday for allegedly raping a Grade 7th student in  Sachal, Karachi. The arrest came after the victim’s mother filed a complaint, stating that her daughter had gone to offer tea to some labourers working in a nearby house. When the mother went to check on her daughter, she discovered her in tears.

The police acted and apprehended the suspect. Both the victim and the suspect were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical examinations to gather important evidence and ensure justice. The police are now awaiting the results of the medical examination report.

 

Mentally-disabled girl allegedly gang-raped

Six individuals have been arrested by the police for the alleged gang-rape of a mentally-disabled girl in Kot Radha Kishan. The victim, a teenager, was found unconscious after leaving her home.

Despite being taken to two hospitals, she was denied medical treatment. Eventually, she was admitted to a service hospital where it was confirmed that she had been gang-raped. The main suspect, Sahil alias Momti, along with several others, reportedly took the victim to a basement in a private restaurant where the crime occurred. Prompt action was taken by DPO Kasur, and the main accused was arrested.

 

Child pornographer acquitted due to double jeopardy

An accused involved in child pornography and sharing content on the dark web was acquitted by Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench. The case was filed against Sohail Ayaz by the Federal Investigation Agency on March 3, 2020.

The court had previously reduced the convict’s three death sentences for pornographic videos and dark web activities to life imprisonment. One of the three life sentences for child abuse was also overturned. The accused will now serve a single life sentence in Adiala jail, while compensating the heirs of the affected children with Rs0.5 million each.

Prior to this, the criminal had served a three-year prison term in the UK for child abuse and was later deported to Pakistan in 2017. Upon his return, he faced accusations of similar offenses in Rawalpindi and Peshawar. In 2019, the Rawat police registered three cases against him for child rape, production of pornography, and uploading it on the dark web.
