Accused Mosque Prayer Leader Dies in Custody after Rape Case Arrest in Faisalabad

A mosque prayer leader accused of raping an orphan girl in Faisalabad’s Tandlianwala area, Chak 610-GB, died in police custody. The suspect initially fled to Sargodha but was later arrested by the Tandlianwala Saddar police.

While being transported in a police van, he experienced swelling on his face and began vomiting. He was taken to Chiniot DHQ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is still unknown and will be determined after the postmortem report is received. Sources suggest that the suspect had consumed poison before his arrest.

The victim, a young girl, is currently receiving medical treatment at Tandlianwala THQ hospital.

 

Unidentified Women’s Bodies Found in Karachi

Two unidentified women’s bodies were discovered in different locations near Superhighway on Friday, according to the police.

The first body, found in a gunny bag, was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by the Chhipa charity for a post-mortem examination. The police surgeon, Summaiya Syed, reported that only partial remains of a female, including an incomplete skeleton and skull, were brought to the hospital. The cause of death remains unknown, and various samples have been collected for chemical examination.

In another incident, the body of a woman in her mid-twenties was found near New Sabzi Mandi and transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal procedures.

 

‘Honour’ Killing: Husband Fatally Stabs Wife in Lahore

A tragic incident occurred in the Sundar area of Lahore, where a man allegedly took the life of his wife in what is believed to be an act motivated by “honour.”

The suspect, identified as Abdul Ghaffar, harbored suspicions about his wife. During an argument on the day of the incident, he resorted to violence and fatally stabbed her with a knife. The victim sustained severe injuries and tragically passed away.

The police promptly intervened, and the body was subsequently transported to the morgue for further examination.
