Police Officer Arrested for Alleged Motorway Rape
An inspector from the National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has been apprehended by Sialkot police on charges of raping a woman on the motorway. The victim, a resident of Ichhra, Lahore, reported the incident to Daska police, stating that she was waiting for a rickshaw when a motorway police vehicle stopped.
The officers offered her a ride but instead took her to the motorway where the inspector allegedly raped her. The Daska police initially registered the complaint as attempted rape, causing delays in medical examination due to collusion among officers.
Following the victim’s demand for justice, the inspector has been arrested and an investigation is underway. The woman appeals to the chief minister and inspector general of police for justice in her case.
Child’s body found dead in Charsadda
A young girl who was reported missing has been discovered dead in an abandoned location in Sardaryab.
The father had filed a police report regarding the disappearance of his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Aleena. The incident gained significant attention on social media. The sources indicate that the body was concealed in a sack and discarded in an empty area.
Police reports state that the girl was strangled and exhibited signs of violence. The investigation is ongoing.
Prayer leader allegedly rapes minor girl
An eight-year-old orphan girl was reportedly raped by a prayer leader in Toba Tek Singh. The incident occurred on Thursday at Chak 610 GB in the Tandlianwala area of Faisalabad, Pakistan.
According to the initial report filed by the Tandlianwala Saddar police, the victim’s mother, a widow, stated that her daughter had gone to the mosque to learn the Quran. The suspect, who was the prayer leader, allegedly took her to his nearby house, where he raped her before fleeing the scene.
The girl was taken to Tandlianwala THQ hospital, where medical professionals confirmed the assault. The police are currently conducting raids in order to apprehend the suspect.
