Suspect apprehended for committing rape
A man has been taken into custody by the Qureshiwala police in Lodhran district on accusations of raping a young girl. The arrest was made following the registration of a First Information Report (FIR No 543/23) under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), based on the complaint filed by the girl’s father, Mukhtiar Ahmed.
According to the complaint, Ahmed had to leave town for work at a mill and entrusted his minor daughter to the care of a relative named ‘SK’. Upon his return, the girl informed her father that she had been allegedly raped by ‘SK’ during her stay at his residence. Promptly responding to the complaint, the police initiated legal proceedings against the suspect and subsequently apprehended him during a raid.
Stepmother arrested for torturing stepdaughters
Two young girls who were reportedly brutally tortured by their stepmother have been rescued by the police. Prompt action was taken following a report from concerned neighbors to the Police.
The stepmother is accused of subjecting the girls to extreme physical abuse and confinement. Shockingly, the girls were found tied up on the scorching hot roof of the house and were burned for asking for food. Visible signs of torture were discovered on their bodies.
The girls, aged 9 to 11, were immediately taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for urgent medical attention. The stepmother has been arrested, and a thorough investigation has been launched. Authorities have stated that those involved in such heinous acts will face legal consequences as they are committed to ensuring justice for the victims.
Teenage Girl Arrested for Fatally Shooting Husband in Islamabad
A teenage girl fatally shot her teenage husband in a rural area of Islamabad. The girl was arrested following a complaint by the deceased’s father, and the murder weapon was confiscated.
The victim, 16-year-old Fazal Ghani, had been married to the girl for three years, but they had no children. The incident occurred when the family was at home, and after hearing gunshots, the father discovered his son’s body with the girl holding a pistol. The motive for the murder is still unknown.
The girl will be charged under the juvenile ordinance of the Pakistan Penal Code.
