Woman Axed To Death

A man axed his sister to death for contracting a love marriage in Okara. The woman got married some time ago and shifted to Lahore.

Saima Bibi was a mother of two and went to see her parents for the first time after marriage. The police have registered the FIR and arrested the accused.

Professor Booked In Blasphemy Case

A professor of Khairpur’s Shah Abdul Latif University was arrested over alleged blasphemy charges.

The arrest has been widely condemned and academics and activists have urged the Sindh government to probe the matter.

Gang-Rape Survivor Accuses Police Of Bias

A gang-rape survivor has accused police of siding with the accused and not cooperating in pursuing her case.

She said she named a policeman in the FIR that is why her family was under pressure from the police for reconciliation in the case.

Woman Allegedly Tortured By Police

A pregnant woman moved to court in Nowshera to register FIR against police officials whom she accused of torturing her on the behest of her in-laws.

The medical report also confirmed fractures in her legs and arms. The police registered the case against in-laws but spared fellow police officials.
