Teenagers Brutally Murdered in ‘Honour’ Killing
Two teenagers, a girl and a boy, were murdered in Manshera, as a result of so-called “honour” killings.
The incident took place at the residence of Gul Shahzad, where the 15-year-old girl and boy were found together in a room. Enraged by this sight, a family member named Mohammad Shoaib attacked them with batons, resulting in their immediate death.
The police have arrested Shoaib, who is the paternal cousin of the girl, and have initiated an investigation. The bodies have been handed over to their respective families for burial.
Brother Commits ‘Honor Killing,’
In an act based on the practice of “honor killing,” a brother has tragically taken the life of his sister in Khairpur. Masood Channa, the accused, shot and killed his 21-year-old sister, Mst Azra, who was married to Imran Channa.
The motive behind this heinous act was allegedly Azra’s involvement in illicit relationships. The accused, Masood Channa, turned himself in to the police, presenting a pistol as evidence and confessing to committing the crime in the name of “honor killing.”
Man arrested for raping teen girl
A man has been arrested for the rape of a teenage girl. The incident occurred when the girl, a ninth-grade student, was approached by her former classmate at a government school in Renala City.
The classmate convinced her to go shopping and they went to Renala City Bazaar. However, at Saddar Bazaar, the main suspect and an accomplice abducted the girl, took her to Awan Town, and raped her. Witnesses called the police helpline when they heard the girl’s cries for help. The girl’s father also arrived at the scene, but the suspects managed to flee.
The Renala City police registered a case against three individuals, including the former classmate. The primary suspect was swiftly apprehended.
Man Kills Wife with Heavy Stone in Karachi
Man kills wife with heavy stone at home in Orangi neighborhood. The incident occurred when the husband, Khalil Ahmed, who has a history of mental illness, brutally beat his wife, Zaiba Bibi, and struck her head with a stone.
The victim, a 35-year-old mother of six from Balochistan, was pronounced dead at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Family members locked the husband in a room and informed the police. The motive behind the murder is still under investigation.
The family claims that Ahmed’s deteriorating mental condition may have been influenced by supernatural forces, but they emphasize the need for legal action to ensure justice.
Child murder death sentences overturned
The Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi Bench has nullified two death sentences and a seven-year imprisonment for a couple convicted of abducting, raping, and murdering a 9-year-old girl.
The court cited technical reasons for its decision and ordered the immediate release of the duo from Adiala Central Jail. The crime occurred in the jurisdiction of Jhanda Chichi Civil Lines Police Station and sparked protests from the community.
The accused husband and wife were arrested based on the victim’s father’s complaint, and they were sentenced in October 2021. The recent verdict was influenced by DNA, post-mortem examination, and medical reports, leading to their release.
