Girls’ Schools Targeted and Destroyed in Militant Attack in North Waziristan
Two girls’ schools were destroyed in North Waziristan, Pakistan. No casualties were reported. The targeted schools were Government Girls Middle School, Noor Jannat, and Government Girls Middle School, Yunus Kot.
The incident occurred at midnight, and the police confirmed it as a militant attack. The counterterrorism department will investigate, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice. Recent incidents include the killing of six schoolteachers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the martyrdom of a soldier in Mirali, North Waziristan.
Husband Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Wife in Domestic Dispute
A man has been taken into custody after being accused of killing his wife, following a domestic dispute, in Amangarh, Nowshera on Monday.
According to the police, Amjad Khan, the husband of the deceased woman, was arrested based on a filed complaint by the father of the victim.The complainant stated that his daughter had an altercation with her husband at home.
Following the registration of the First Information Report (FIR), the Azakhel Police Station authorities initiated additional investigations into the matter.
Arrest Made in Schoolteacher’s Murder
Juma Khan Mahar was arrested by the Jamshoro Police on Monday after they found the pistol used to murder schoolteacher Nooren Fatima Mahar in his possession.
The brother of the victim, Mohsin Mahar, who confessed to being involved in the crime, was granted a four-day remand. The arrest was made because Juma, who is the uncle of Nooreen, owned the pistol used in the murder.
Investigations suggest that Nooreen’s death was not a suicide as initially claimed, but a murder.
