Karachi Teenage Girl Found in Lahore Married to Alleged Kidnapper
Police in Lahore have found a young girl who was reported missing by her family in Karachi over a month ago. According to the family’s complaint filed with the police, the girl was kidnapped by a man named Abdullah.
However, the police now claim that the girl, who was around 12 or 13 years old, had voluntarily married the suspect. The police conducted raids in Peshawar and Lahore before finally locating the girl in Lahore. The authorities are currently verifying her marriage papers.
This incident is similar to a case from last year where another teenage girl from Karachi, Dua Zehra, was found “married” to a boy in Punjab after going missing from her home.
Father Allegedly Shoots and Kills Daughter during Minor Dispute in Haripur
According to reports, a man is accused of killing his daughter during a minor altercation at their home in Sanjiala village, located in the Saddar Police Station jurisdiction of Haripur.
The victim, a 30-year-old woman, divorced with a four-year-old son, was praying when her father, Muhammad Ashraf, allegedly entered her room and shot her once in the head, resulting in her immediate death.
Following the incident, the body was transferred to the Trauma Centre for an autopsy and later released to the victim’s mother. The suspect reportedly fled the scene and the authorities suspect that a minor disagreement between the father and daughter could have led to the murder.
Woman Allegedly Raped Near Ravi River, Suspect Identified and Named
A man has been accused of raping a woman near the Ravi River in the Okara area. The incident allegedly occurred while the victim was waiting for transport at the Syedwala bridge to return to her village.
According to the complainant’s first information report, the suspect offered her a ride on his motorcycle for a fee. Instead of taking her to her destination, the suspect reportedly took her to a secluded area, where he sexually assaulted her after she resisted.
Two days later, the victim was able to register a case against the named suspect with the Ravi police.
