Child murderer in Karachi identified by DNA testing of suspect’s brother and son
Karachi Police on Monday apprehended the prime suspect of the kidnapping, rape and brutal murder of a six-year-old girl after conducting a DNA test.
The henious murder of the child sent shockwaves in the locality when her body was discovered in a garbage dump in the Muslimabad area of Quaidabad.
According to SSP District Malir Irfan Bahadur, police obtained samples of around 100 people after the incident and were able to successfully trace the culprit of the crime. The suspect, Riyaz alias Kaka Munna, had gone into hiding which prevented the police from getting a DNA sample. The police instead took samples from the accused’s brother and son which matched the evidence found from the victim. The suspect however remains at large.
