344 people were killed in terror-related incidents in the 1st quarter of 2022A total of 344 people were killed while 405 others were injured in terror-related incidents during the first quarter of the current year, according to a report. The report mentioned that 90pc of the victims were from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) while Sindh and Punjab experienced a very marginal number of casualties. KP saw a 173pc surge in terror-related incidents as compared to last year.Sindh to formulate Transgender Education Policy
In a first, the Sindh Department of Education has decided to bring Transgender Education Policy to provide education facilities to the Transgender community. According to the new policy, content about the transgender community will also be added to the curriculum so the new generation could understand the importance of the community.Case registered against Okara jail officials for inmate’s deathA case under section 302 PPC has been registered against Okara jail superintendent and four others for their alleged role in fatally torturing an inmate, Asif Nadeem. Nadeem was shifted to the Okara Jail from the Sahiwal Jail after Asif’s father complained that Sahiwal Jail Deputy Superintendent Habib Ahmad Sindhu would torture Asif for his refusal to pay him bribes.
Blood was emitting from the mouth of Asif when he was shifted from the jail to the DHQ City on Tuesday. Doctors also found torture marks on all major parts of the body.
