Mentally handicapped girl raped in Lahore
Police have registered a case against two persons for sexually abusing a 13-year-old mentally handicapped girl in Nawankot area of Lahore. According to police, the accused had been abusing the girl for the past four weeks. Taking notice of the incident, the IEG police has ordered the concerned police station to arrest the accused immediately.
Sikh citizen killed in Peshawar
A man, Santam Singh, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Peshawar. Santam Singh belonged to the field of wisdom. According to the victim’s brother, Santam had no enmity with anyone. According to police, it is not yet known whether the killing was a targeted killing or whether Santam Singh was killed for some other reason.
Case against lawyers for torturing police
Faisalabad police have registered a case against two dozen lawyers and their associates for releasing four accused and torturing policemen. According to the FIR, a group of lawyers led by Nazir Abbas Advocate released four people from police custody and severely tortured a constable.
