Kark Temple dispute

A dispute has sparked between the Hindu community and district administration over the construction of washrooms during the reconstruction of a destroyed temple in Karak District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Hindu community wants the construction of washrooms on the plot adjacent to the temple so that the sanctity of the temple is not violated. The district administration wants to build washrooms in the temple premises.

The Kark temple was burnt down in an attack in 2000, after which the Supreme Court ordered the temple to be rebuilt.

Lawyer arrested for raping woman

Lahore police have arrested a lawyer on charges of sexually abusing a woman. After the arrest, when the police produced the accused in the Model Town court for remand, the lawyers protested on this occasion.

The lawyers blocked the main gate of the court and demanded that the police immediately withdraw the case against their fellow lawyer.

According to police, the accused told his student to clean the bathroom and when the child went to clean it, the accused entered and locked the bathroom and sexually abused the child.
