A large number of journalists across religious lines attended the funeral procession of the Hindu journalist, Ajay Laalwani, who died after being shot by unknown motorcyclists on March 18th.

On Wednesday, March 17, unknown assailants opened fire on Ajay Laalwani while he was sitting inside a hair salon in the Saleh Putt areas of Panu Aqil, Sukkur. Following the shooting Ajay Laalwani was shifted to the Sukkur district hospital but he was not able to survive and died the very next day. The police have failed to register an FIR of the event. But have told Voicepk.net that they are using geo-fencing technology to find the culprits. The police have also told our reporter that they suspect that the murder was the result of personal enmity.

But the family of the journalist has ruled out personal enmity as the possible reason behind the killing. “We do not have any enemies at all,” says the uncle of the slain journalist.
