Arzoo shifted to a shelter home

Police have shifted teenage Christian girl Arzoo Raja to Panaah shelter home in Karachi on orders of the Sindh High Court. Azhar Ali, who claims to be her husband, has been remanded in police custody after his arrest.

Clerk held for rape of a minor girl

A clerk in the Ehsas Programme office has been arrested for the alleged rape of an applicant minor girl in Chaubara tehsil of Layyah. The accused got an address from her application and raped the 9th class girl when she was alone at home.

Honor killing claims 2 lives

A brother gunned down his sister and a man in an alleged honor killing in Nasirabad district. Police said Azmat Khan fled the scene after killing his 18-year-old sister and fellow villager Abdul Samad.

44 Pak prisoners in Lanka to return home soon

Sri Lanka will shortly repatriate 44 Pakistani prisoners to complete their jail term in Pakistan under a 2004 agreement on prisoners’ exchange between both the countries. Officials said a PIA chartered flight will bring the Pakistani prisoners back to their country in the coming days.
