70pc cases coming from 5 cities: NCOC
According to NCOC, five main cities of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Karachi are the contributors of 70 percent of COVID cases in the country. Mirpur, Hyderabad, and Karachi are amongst cities experiencing a constantly increasing positivity ratio.
COVID kills 43 more
The country reported 43 more fatalities, including 37 critical patients, from the COVID pandemic in the last 24 hours. The total tally of active cases in Pakistan reached 47,390 after 2,829 more people tested positive in the period.
1,419 cases, 13 deaths in Sindh
Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah has informed 1,419 new cases recorded in the province over the last 24 hours together with 13 deaths. To date, the tally of positive cases is 173,014 accompanied by 151,529 recoveries and 2,924 deaths in the province.
Cases see a drop in Punjab
There were 613 new cases reported in Punjab which was a reduction from the 738 cases recorded in the previous day. Nineteen people lost their lives due to COVID causing the tally of deaths in the province to reach 2,979.
