Couple Arrested for Torture of Minor Niece in Faisalabad
A couple was arrested in Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad on Wednesday for allegedly torturing their minor niece. The Station House Officer, Ms. Madiha Irshad, reported that the complaint was filed by Shahnaz Bibi, the mother of the minor girl named Safia.
According to the complaint, Safia was badly hurt by her uncle, Azam, and his wife during a minor domestic dispute, and her clothes were also torn during the altercation.
The police acted on the complaint and arrested the accused couple, registering a case under relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Child Sexual Assault in Taxila: Police Launch Investigation
A ten-year-old girl was reportedly sexually assaulted in Taxila’s New City area on Wednesday.
The attacker allegedly lured the girl, who resides in a slum, into giving alms before taking her on his motorcycle to an under-construction house.
The girl was treated at THQ Hospital and a case has been registered by the Wah Saddar police. SSP Zunaira Azfar and SP Waqas Khan have arrived at the crime scene to investigate, and the police have recorded the victim’s statement and obtained CCTV footage of the area.
Teen Sexually Assaulted in Tharparkar, Investigation Underway
A 16-year-old girl in Tharparkar’s Chhachru tehsil has allegedly been sexually assaulted. The police have registered a case against two suspects based on the complaint from the victim’s father and are conducting raids to arrest them.
According to police surgeon Dr. Niaz, the victim underwent a medical examination, and the initial DNA results confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.
The unmarried girl, who is now 4 months pregnant, was allegedly kept silent by her family in an attempt to settle the matter at the community level.
The incident came to light 8 days ago and is under further investigation.
