-In the last 24 hours COVID19 positive cases rose to 2,547 while 18 deaths were reported across the country. -Punjab imposes smart lockdowns in Corona hotspots of Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Bhakkar, Bahawalpur & Sargodha.

Hotspots in 6 Punjab cities sealed till 28th

The authorities have enforced smart lockdowns until November 28 in various areas of Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Bhakkar, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha after they were recognized as COVID hotspots. There will be controlled movement in these areas and other than essential services all public places will remain closed.

Cases in Sindh touch July peak

For the first time since July Sindh has reported 1,126 cases of coronavirus, together with 4 deaths. This has caused the provincial tally of positive cases to increase to 158,559 while the death toll is numbered at 2,764.

Daily cases cross 2500

The tally of daily positive cases rose above 2,500 since July as 2,547 cases and 18 deaths were reported across the country. The number of total active cases is 32,005 out of which 1,535 patients are critical.

Gomal University shuts down

In Dera Ismail Khan, the administration has sealed Gomal University’s campus for a week. The closure was announced after COVID positive cases emerged from the Gomal College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
