1,800 cases, 34 deaths in the last 24 hours

The country recorded another single-day highest tally in three months after 1,808 cases were confirmed in a day, with at least 34 fatalities in the last 24 hours. The new cases took the tally for confirmed cases to 349,992, and the death toll to 7,055 since the start of the pandemic.

Schools shut in Mansehra town

The administration has closed all educational institutions in Mansehra’s Garhi Habibullah town after a spike in COVID cases. Meanwhile, AJK reported the highest daily infections of 130 new cases with two deaths in the last 24 hours, a marked increase from Oct 29 when AJK confirmed 108 infections.

NCOC wants cinemas, shrines closed

The NCOC has recommended the immediate closure of cinemas, mausoleums, and shrines in a bid to control the rapidly increasing cases in the second COVID wave. The forum has suggested allowing only outdoor dining till 10 pm and outdoor weddings with a capacity of 500 people from November 20.

Sindh confirms 720 cases

Sindh has reported 720 new cases with 14 fatalities from COVID  during the last 24 hours in the province. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, eight more deaths were reported from the virus along with 189 new cases.
