Her Honour Judge Khatoon Sapnara is a Circuit Judge and is authorized to act as a Judge of the High Court of England and Wales. She speaks ardently at the Asma Jahangir Conference 2019 – Roadmap for Human Rights, on the core issues within the legal realm and how communities can come together to dissipate all differences and help build a more just society. She commends the numerous phenomenal contributions by AGHS Legal Aid Cell in order to rid Pakistan of human rights violations and injustices. In her speech, she also argues that justice is not a limited commodity as we have the capacity to afford justice for all, if the will is there. Furthermore, she discusses Britain’s Forced Marriage Protection Act 2007 in relevance to the current situation of women rights in Pakistan and hopes for a stronger future where lawmakers safeguard the rights of children, women and all groups of society that are oppressed.
