MUZAFFARGARH
A grave case of sexual exploitation has surfaced in Tehsil Alipur, Muzaffargarh, sending shockwaves through the community and raising serious questions about institutional oversight and police effectiveness. The main suspect, a private school owner, is accused of blackmailing female teachers for several years, yet remains a fugitive despite police efforts spanning over a week since the scandal broke.
Teachers abused and filmed in school room
According to details, Hidayat Razzvi, owner of the private Ideal School, stands accused of creating objectionable videos of female teachers and using them for blackmail over an extended period. The case came to light when these videos went viral approximately one week ago, prompting immediate action from victims’ families.
City Police Station Alipur registered the first case based on a complaint filed by Nasir, the brother of one affected woman. However, the suspect had already fled before authorities could apprehend him. A second FIR was filed by another victim’s father, stating that the accused committed forced assault and continued blackmailing for the past three years.
The investigation has since expanded, with police now in contact with four to five affected women. However, some victims remain reluctant to pursue legal action due to fear of social stigma.
One affected woman has disclosed that she was assaulted multiple times over the past twenty years. This revelation is particularly alarming as it raises questions about how such exploitation continued for such an extended period without any institutional intervention.
Suspect placed on ECL: RPO
Despite a week passing since the scandal emerged, law enforcement has failed to apprehend the primary suspect, raising concerns about the effectiveness of the investigation and the safety of the community.
Regional Police Officer Dera Ghazi Khan, Sajjad Hussain, stated: “Police are making full efforts to arrest the suspect. He will be arrested soon. The suspect’s name has also been added to the Exit Control List (ECL) to prevent him from fleeing the country.”
According to police spokesman Waseem Khan, raids are being conducted at various locations to arrest the suspect, but success has remained elusive.
The situation has been further complicated by threats made to complainant Nasir from unknown numbers, prompting police to register a third case.
Seven-member probe team formed
Police have constituted a seven-member team to investigate the matter, which will advance the case based on all available evidence. Investigations have revealed that all objectionable videos were created in one room of the school.
School sealed
The district administration and education department have sealed the school in question. Meanwhile, a woman appearing in the viral videos, reportedly the second wife of suspect Hidayat Razzvi, has filed a complaint with the FIA Cyber Crime Cell regarding the circulation of her videos.
In a swift institutional response, the Tehsil Press Club Alipur has removed Hidayat Ullah Razzvi from the position of president and terminated his press club membership following the scandal’s emergence.
‘Incident has frightened girl students, parents worried’
The case has created an atmosphere of fear in the area, with the administration and police’s continued failure to arrest the main suspect eroding public confidence. Civil society in Alipur has staged protests against the non-arrest of the main accused and strongly condemned the incident.
“This is the darkest incident in Alipur’s history and represents a major challenge. This heinous act has pushed educational institutions toward destruction where thousands of female students used to study. Now both students and parents are frightened and worried,” advocate Shahid Shamshad told Voicepk.
Social activist Rana Saifullah emphasized that the affected women remain fearful and stressed the need for protection. “It is essential that they be provided with security and that law enforcement agencies bring the accused to justice so that the fear and insecurities prevailing in society can be eliminated,” he said.
People from all walks of life are demanding that authorities bring this matter to a logical conclusion to prevent such incidents in the future. The case has highlighted systemic failures in both educational oversight and law enforcement, with the suspect’s continued evasion raising serious questions about investigative capabilities.
