Police have arrested a man in connection with the gruesome rape and murder of a teenager in the limits of the Kahna police station.
The 15-year-old boy was raped on October 25, in the premesis of a dyeing factory, by a coworker identified as Shahroz, stated the official complaint by the victim’s father Nadeem Iqbal.
But the teenager was further tortured after being raped, which was later discovered after he was admitted to the Jinnah Hospital in a critical condition. Initially, Nadeem Iqbal said, the factory management feigned that the boy had sustained an injury at work. But it later transpired that the suspect had not only raped the victim but had also pumped air into the victim’s belly. The gruesome act resulted in rupturing the stomach and the intestines due to immense air pressure, causing his death.
A statement by the Kahan police revealed that they had arrested suspect Shahroz for the sexual assault on the teen whom he worked with in the factory premises.
Police said the suspect had inserted a pressure pump pipe to fill the victim’s stomach with air, causing rupture of internal organs. The boy was admitted to the hospital in a critical state but doctors failed to rescue him. The police statement said the suspect has been handed over to the Gender Crime Cell for further investigation.
