Alleged Rape of Pregnant Woman in Islamabad

A woman in Islamabad was allegedly raped on Friday while seeking help to find the police station. The incident occurred when a man she met on the way offered to guide her, but instead took her to a flat in Jhangi Syedan and committed the crime.

The victim, who is six months pregnant, had been heading to the Tarnol police station after a dispute with her husband. A case has been registered with the Noon police station based on her complaint.

Mehar Buledi was gunned down by unidentified assailants outside a police office, just hours after seeking refuge. Despite her plea for help, police allegedly handed her back to her parents, leading to the devastating incident.

Mehar, who had recently eloped with her chosen partner, was intercepted by a man named Gul, also known as “Ismail Phor,” while being escorted by her parents. He attempted to abduct her against her will and ended up fatally shooting her on the spot. The Jamshoro police are now conducting a thorough investigation to bring justice for Mehar’s murder, while her grieving family seeks answers and accountability for the tragic loss.

 

Five Arrested in Haripur for the Rape of a Teenage Girl

Five individuals have been arrested in Haripur following the rape of a 17-year-old girl who also alleged that they had blackmailed her. The incident occurred when one of the suspects forcibly took her on a motorcycle while she was outside her house at night. They then brought her to a local guest house, where she was subjected to harassment by the suspects.

The main accused later raped her, and along with his accomplices, they used the incident to blackmail her. The police have charged the arrested men under sections 365 and 376 of the PPC, as well as Section 3 of the Trafficking in Person Act. One suspect remains at large.

The police have warned transgender individuals in the district against providing shelter to criminals and drug addicts, with potential legal action for those found involved in such activities during surprise visits to deras (rented houses) of transgender musical groups based on public complaints.
