8-Year-Old Afghan Girl Raped in Broad Daylight in Islamabad
An 8-year-old Afghan girl was raped by a street criminal in broad daylight in Islamabad. Despite the presence of residents, the rapist managed to escape. The victim was taken to a hospital where medical officials confirmed the rape.
The Shahzad Town police have registered a case against the unidentified rapist, but have not apprehended him yet. The police are actively investigating the incident and have formed teams to track down the criminal within the next 24 hours.
Honour Killing Claims Lives of Man and Woman in Nawabshah
Two individuals, a man and a woman, were murdered under the guise of ‘honour’ in Rahu Colony, Kazi Ahmed, Nawabshah district, as reported by the police. Nadeem Solangi and Bakhtawar Bibi were the victims of an ‘honour killing’, according to SHO Abdul Latif of Kazi Ahmed.
The suspects, Ali Dost and Yousif Solangi, who are cousins of Bakhtawar, were identified by Nadeem’s cousin, Muhammad Younus, who was also injured during the attempted murder of Nadeem. The suspects first killed Nadeem and later went to Bakhtawar’s house to kill her. Social activists have protested the murder and are demanding the arrest of the accused.
Minor Christian Girl Kidnapped Over 5 Months Ago Found Safe in Karachi
13-year-old Christian girl, who was kidnapped over five months ago, has been rescued from Karachi. The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) of the police recovered the girl and apprehended two suspects. The girl was abducted in Saeedabad on December 27, 2022.
Following the Sindh government’s intervention, a special team was formed to locate and rescue the victim. Utilizing modern technology and informants, the team successfully raided a place in Quaidabad, resulting in the safe recovery of the girl.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Mohammed Noman and Lal Mehmood. The motive behind the kidnapping seems to be a love affair. The girl will soon provide her statement in court.
Suspected serial killer and alleged rapist captured
Rawalpindi police have reportedly achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending a suspected serial killer responsible for the rape and murder of three people, including two transgender individuals.
The suspect, Ali Hussain, would establish relationships with transgender individuals before committing violent acts against them. Surprisingly, investigations revealed that Hussain himself had been a victim of rape during his time as a seminary student.
Death Sentences of Three Convicts in Child Murder Case Upheld
Three convicts in a child murder case have had their death sentences upheld by the Sindh High Court. The court affirmed that the child had been abducted for ransom, brutally murdered, and disposed of, warranting the maximum penalty.
The convicts had kidnapped a 12-year-old boy, Shahid Ali, for ransom in January 2021, subsequently killing him and attempting to conceal their crime by burning his body. After considering the arguments and evidence, the court dismissed the appeals and upheld the capital punishment.
The court emphasized the gravity of the crime, stating that the young child’s abduction, murder, and disposal of his body in a heinous manner demanded strong action to eradicate such abominable acts from society.
