Man Accused of Molesting Daughter Denied Bail by SHC
A man was arrested by police for allegedly molesting his daughter over four years. A complainant lodged an FIR, stating that the man had sexually abused his daughter since she was 11 years old.
The prosecution alleged that he attempted to rape her in 2022. The accused claimed the allegations were false and his wife and daughter were lying. The Sindh High Court rejected his bail plea, citing potential danger to the survivor and her mother, and transferred the case to the juvenile court.
The court directed the trial court to protect the minor’s privacy and ensure no inappropriate questions are asked. The Sindh police chief was directed to ensure the safety of the minor and her mother during the trial.
12-Year-Old Boy Found Hanging in Lahore Residence
The body of a 12-year-old male child was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in a residence situated in the Kot Lakhpat region.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Sohaib, had lost his father a year ago and his mother had departed a few days ago to undertake Umrah. On the day of the unfortunate event, he was found hanging from the fan in his house located in Bostan Colony.
The police intervened and transferred the body to the morgue while the CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana has taken cognizance of the matter.
Pregnant Woman Dies Due to Alleged Negligence of Doctor
A gynecologist at a private medical center in Khairpur has been accused of causing the death of a 19-year-old pregnant woman due to negligence. Members of the Metlo community staged a protest against the medical center, alleging that the doctor had administered an expired drug to the patient, which caused her death.
The protesters demanded action against the medical center, and claimed that the owner had threatened them when they complained about the incident. The owner of the medical center declined to comment on the matter.
