Transgender person killed, another injured in firing incident in Mingora, Swat

 

A transgender person was killed and another injured in a shooting at Taj Chowk in Mingora city on Sunday. They were returning from a dancing event when the accused, identified as Nawab, allegedly opened fire on them. The deceased, Osama alias Mahnoor, was from Karachi, and the injured, Israr alias Gulalai, is from Mardan. According to the police, the accused and the deceased were friends but had recent differences that led to the incident.

 

Child Fatally Shot in Celebratory Firing at Wedding Ceremony in Karachi

 

A child was killed in celebratory gunfire in the SITE area on Saturday evening, police said.The incident occurred near Tayaba Masjid in Block-B, Metroville, Karachi where a six-year-old boy was fatally shot, as per an Edhi Foundation representative. 

The Keamari SSP, Fida Husain Janwari, explained that some individuals fired guns in celebration during a wedding ceremony. 

Two suspects have been detained by the police in connection with the incident.



Father Arrested for Allegedly Beating Son to Death

 

A man has been arrested for reportedly causing the death of his son through physical abuse.

According to a statement from the mother of the deceased, Bashir Khan, who works in a shop, had sent his nine-year-old son, Dervaish Khan, to a seminary, but the child returned home soon after.

Bashir Khan then allegedly beat his son with a stick, causing him serious injuries that led to his hospitalization, where he died a few days later. 

An FIR was lodged by the child’s mother, and following Dervaish’s death, the father was taken into custody, and a murder case was registered against him.

 

Woman Allegedly Raped by Cop and Accomplice in Lahore

 

A cop and his accomplice have been arrested by the police in the Harbanspura police area for allegedly raping a woman. The victim had been invited to their location under the pretext of a job offer but was instead sexually assaulted.

The suspects, Qadir Hussain and Iftikhar, have been booked based on the victim’s complaint, and the case has been referred to the Gender Cell for additional investigation.
