Man Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison for Raping Third-Grade Student
Azam Khan Gandapur Sukna Takwara was sentenced to 14 years in prison with hard labor and a fine of Rs0.2 million for raping a third-grade student in Kalachi Tehsil of Takwara area in 2022. He will serve an additional year in jail if he fails to pay the fine.
The court sentenced him to seven years in prison with hard labor and a fine of Rs0.1 million under Section 377 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, and a further seven-year jail term with hard labor and a fine of Rs0.1 million under Section 53 of the Child Protection Act. If he does not pay this fine, he will be imprisoned for an additional six months.
Another Woman Gang-Raped in Islamabad, Police Register Rape Case Against Two Perpetrators
The police in Islamabad have reported that yet another woman has been a victim of gang rape. According to the authorities, the victim had previously been offered a job by two individuals who she later contacted for assistance in job hunting.
These same individuals picked her up from F-11 Markaz and then took her to an isolated area where they sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. The victim reported the incident to the police, who subsequently registered a rape case against the two perpetrators.
The incident occurred eight days prior to the victim reporting the crime. After the rape, the perpetrators then took the victim to the F-10 roundabout and released her there.
