Woman killed by in-laws in Lahore following alleged torture and poisoning
A woman was killed by her in-laws in Nishtar Colony, Lahore, according to police reports. The victim, a resident of Gujranwala, had been married to Arshad for 15 years and was allegedly subjected to violence and torture by her husband, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law.
The suspects reportedly gave her poison, leading to her hospitalization in critical condition where she ultimately died.
A murder case has been filed against Arshad and the other suspects based on a complaint by the victim’s brother. The victim’s body has been transported to the morgue.
Woman gang-raped in Lahore after being promised job
A woman was gang-raped in Lahore by individuals who had promised her a job, according to police. The suspects also recorded a video of the assault and threatened the victim.
The victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and a case has been filed. The incident has been brought to the attention of the Inspector General of Police in Punjab, who has ordered the arrest of the suspects and requested a report from the CCPO in Lahore.
Inspector General Punjab has emphasized the importance of ensuring justice for the victim.
