Children recovered from abusive father in Faisalabad
Rescue 1122 and a team of Millat Town Police rescued three minor children from their abusive father from their home in Usman Town, Faisalabad, on Sunday.
According to the rescue team, Allah Ditta’s wife left him two years back while their children remained in his custody. Locals told police that the accused would torture Fatima (7), Faizan (5) and Shabhan (4). The kids were also often denied food, and that their neighbours would sneak them something to eat while Allah Ditta was out.
On Sunday, concerned neighbours went into the home and held down the accused while they moved the minors to another house and alerted Rescue 1122. They were shifted to Allied Hospital for therapy while Allah Ditta was arrested. The children will be surrendered to their paternal uncle following a medical examination, while a case will be registered against the suspect on the complaint of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.
Body of missing boy found bound to tree in Orakzai
A 13-year-old boy who was reported missing by his father on Friday, June 1, turned up dead in the mountains of Mishti Mela, Orakzai, on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Menan Khan, was discovered bound to a tree by locals, who later informed the police. An autopsy indicated that the victim had been brutally tortured before being shot in the head.
The boy’s father, Taj Wali Khan, told police that his family had no enmity. A case has been registered against unknown suspects.
PM takes notice of rape in Karachi-bound bus
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of an alleged rape of a woman by the conductor of a private bus enroute from Bhakkar to Karachi, and directed the additional Inspector General (IG) South Punjab to submit a report in this regard within 24 hours.
According to the first information report (FIR) registered at the Jampur police station on the complaint of the rape survivor, she was traveling to Karachi by bus when the vehicle briefly stopped at a hotel. She was asleep in her seat when the other passengers disembarked for refreshments.
The complainant stated that upon finding her alone the bus conductor dragged her to the back of the bus and began raping her. A fellow passenger, who went back to the bus to check up on her, caught the suspect during the act.
Upon receiving a call on the 15 emergency number, a team from Jampur police station reached the spot and arrested the suspect after recording statements from the rape survivor and eyewitnesses. The suspect was booked on rape charges after confessing to the crime.
Two allegedly molest, film minor boy in Faisalabad
A shopkeeper and his accomplice molested a 10-year-old boy in Chak 252-RB, and uploaded a video of the assault on social media on Sunday.
Police state that suspects Rafaqat and Zubair lured the minor into their shop where they raped him and filmed the act. A case was registered at the Roshanwala police station following reports of the video circulating online, however no arrests have been made as of yet.
