FIA cracks down on pornography rings

 The Federal investigative agency Sindh’s cybercrime wing carried out a series of operations in different areas of the province. It apprehended at least 6 suspects involved in making and disseminating obscene videos of women and children without their consent. According to official sources, sweeps were carried out in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Ghotki after receiving complaints from local victims while Interpol identified one suspect.

Cholera outbreak claims 4 lives in Dera Bugti 

According to the District Health Officer (DHO) of Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district, at least four people including a child have lost their lives to Cholera so far with hundreds of others affected. Contaminated water is one of the major sources fuelling the outbreak with district and provincial health facilities grossly unequipped to tackle the rising tide of patients. Balochistan CM Abdul Qadoos Bazinjo has ordered the release of a Rs. 10 million package to deal with the crisis.

Rockets land in Peshawar’s Hayatabad 

According to official sources, two rocket-propelled grenades have landed in the Hayatabad industrial area of Karachi. The rockets were fired from the nearby Shah Kas area of the Khyber district. No casualties were reported in the attack. The police are investigating the attack but have ruled out extortion as a possible cause.
