Father arrested for allegedly raping daughter
Gujranwala Police have arrested a man Wednesday on suspicion of raping his daughter. According to the FIR, the victim’s mother went to a market with her son and upon her return, she saw that her husband was raping her daughter. The victim told the police that her father has been sexually abusing her for a long time.
Inquiry committee holds police personnel responsible for death of newly-wed
An inquiry committee has declared that the police were responsible for the death of a newlywed person Nabeel Siddiqui by falling from a multi-story building in Karachi. According to the report, the police illegally raided the apartment of late Siddiqui and demanded bribe money from him. Nabil was accused of kidnapping her wife but he had already secured the pre-arrest bail.
The committee found station investigation officer Shakeel and sub-inspector Amir guilty and recommended departmental action against them.
Bilal Saeed bailable warrants issued
A local court in Lahore on Wednesday issued bailable arrest warrants of singer Bilal Saeed for not appearing in the trial proceedings of a case of alleged desecration of Wazir Khan mosque. The court however allowed one-time exemption to Saba Qamar
