Multan man convicted of rape sentenced to death
An Additional District and Sessions Court in Multan has sentenced a man named Bilal to life imprisonment on charges of raping a girl. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 500,000 on the accused.
Zhob: Four killed in an alleged encounter
Protests continue in Balochistan’s Zhob district after four people were killed in an alleged encounter with the Counter-Terrorism Department. Three people were also injured in the encounter. According to Deputy Commissioner Zhob, an investigation is underway to ascertain the facts of the incident.
Vigilante violence against Blasphemy accused illegal: CII
The Islamic Ideological Council has demanded that those involved in violence in the name of religion be brought to justice as soon as possible. The council said that using violence for blasphemy was against Islamic principles and was against Sharia law. The council also suggested setting up a commission to investigate such incidents.
