First trans medical graduate gets house job

Pakistan’s first transgender medical graduate, Dr. Sarah Gill, was appointed for a house job in Karachi’s Jinnah Postgraduate Medical College (JPMC).

JPMC’s Executive Director Dr. Shahid Rasool met Dr. Gill and gave her the appointment letter. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, while congratulating Dr. Gill over the appointment, assured that the provincial government will provide job opportunities for trans people in every field of life.

Jhang court gives death penalty to three gang rape accused

A Jhang Additional Session Judge gave three men accused of gang raping a girl the death sentence.

The court order read that the prosecution has proved his case against the three accused, identified as Asad Ali, Zafar Iqbal and Muhammad Usman, who on June 5, 2020, entered a house and gang raped an 18-year-old girl at gun point while her parents were not at home.

12-year-old student mauled to death by dogs

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of an incident in which a seventh grader was mauled to death by stray dogs.

He ordered the deputy commissioner to fix responsibility and take action against concerned officials. According to the details, 12-year-old Mubashir Mahmood were attacked by stray dogs inside a government school two days ago.

He succumbed to his injuries while being transported to hospital.
