Order to make public details of Khadija Siddiqui attack case
The Punjab Information Commission (PIC) has directed the IG Prisons to release all the details of the assassination attempt on lawyer Khadija Siddiqui within three days. The commission also ordered to share with the public the details of amnesty given to the inmates of Kot Lakhpat Jail involved in crimes against women during the last five years.
Noor Muqaddam murder case
A sessions court in Islamabad has indicted 12 people, including Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Muqadam murder case. All the accused inside the court pleaded not guilty but the main accused came out of the court premises and confessed to killing Noor Muqadam in front of the media. The court summoned prosecution witnesses on October 20 to begin the trial.
Man arrested for sexually abusing children
Upon receiving information from the United States, the FIA arrested a person involved in child sexual abuse in Faisalabad and recovered videos of sexual abuse. According to the FIA, the accused Shahid used to record videos and sell them on the internet. The accused confessed to making the video but denied the charge of selling it. The accused is a vegetable seller by profession.
