
3 doctors die of COVID
Three doctors have died of complications from COVID in KP and Punjab, as death toll hit 8,905 in the country Prof Almas Afridi and Dr Hassan Shehzad passed away in Peshawar and Abottabad respectively while Dr Arshad Bhutta died in Multan’s Nishter Hospital.
57 dead in Punjab
Punjab has reported 57 deaths with 597 new cases in the last 24 hours as the total tally of deaths reached 3,422 in the province. Sindh has confirmed six deaths with 1,260 new cases in the same period while Islamabad reported 205 new cases with six deaths.
5 Nowshera schools closed
Authorities in Nowshera have shut down five more schools as the number of COVID infections rose to 1,465 in the city. KP reported six deaths and 1,260 new cases from the pandemic in the last 24 hours.
