Protest in Hyderabad against forced conversion
Christians have held a demonstration outside Hyderabad Press Club to protest forced conversion and forced marriage of girls from the community. Participants also alleged that a resident Saeed Sahtu had threatened a Christian girl with torture and abduction if she refused to give details of women in her family.
Suspect kills fellow inmate in lock-up
Three police officials in Naushahro Feroze have suspended after a murder suspect killed another detainee in the lock-up. Police claimed Solangi fatally hit Azhar Ali Memon with a brick in the head after a scuffle over a bed in the lock-up. However, Memon’s father alleged that his son was tortured to death by the police officials.
Missing girl’s body found in Sahiwal
The body of a missing minor girl has been found mutilated and stuffed in a sack outside her house in Sahiwal. Police said Rukhsana was reported missing Saturday after going out to buy candies from a shop, adding that her body was found in a sack outside her home in the evening.
Man held for molesting a boy
A man has been arrested allegedly for sexually molesting a minor boy in Kasur. Police claimed the 55- year-old suspect had allured the victim with a promise of giving him a pair of pigeons.
